This Site is dedicated to highlighting the life and career of Tariq Almoayed.
Born on 26th July 1943 in Bahrain. He was the oldest son of Abdulrahman Khalil Almoayed a Well know, merchant. He Married to “Layla Y. Almoayed” and blessed with Four Children. Abeer, Osama, Amel, and May. He received his preliminary education at Manama Secondary School, Bahrain. He then received his B.Sc. Economics in University of London, England. His first task was to building the two building for his father and uncle. Almoayed Twin Towers.
Soon after he started his Political and Public Service life. His first assignment was a Member of Constitution Assembly, 1972. (Drafting the first Constitution
of the State of Bahrain), and member of the National Assembly. Then he was appointed as the Minister of Information, Government of Bahrain, (1973-1995) his Responsibilities was for the mass media policy, culture, museums, archaeology, and tourism.
Other posted and duties included Chairman of Gulf News Agency: The first news agency in the Gulf. President of the Supreme Council for Tourism, Bahrain (1986-1995), the highest authority for formulating the national policy on tourism. Chairman of the National Council for Culture and Arts, (1989-
1995), the highest authority for formulating policy on culture and the
arts. Responsible for the development of the first commercial public
television corporation, and the first Intellectual Properties Legislation in
Bahrain. Contributed to several International Conferences and University
Seminars & Community Service: –
Senior Member and President of Rotary Club of Manama. President of Alumni Club. President of Bahrain Red Crescent Society. President of Arab Red Cross and Red Crescent Federation, (1981-83). Honorary president of Bahrain Amateur Radio Society. Member of the Advisory Boards of several Universities.
